congrats to us man!
we got a SILVER!!!!!~~~~
although its not a Gold , at least we maintained.
and at least we got a silver especially since we
performed after NJC. which totally sucked cos they were good.
we know we did our best. :)
we really , truly , honestly did.
for now , lets try to not get affected by this and focus on mid-years?
which is like 7 days away . T_T
so i'll be MIA~ing till mid years are over , which is 8th og may 2009.
Guzheng members , you people rock!
even though we got a Silver , we should really be happy as
we got there in the nick of time and we even performed our best.

SYF 2009

first off , i would like to thank
the Lord. He has showered me with his constant blessings ,
and i'm just so grateful. especially for today. :)
All i can say is , guzheng members! we rocked! literally.
at around 12.30 pm we were supposed to leave for Republic Poly.
then , we received shocking news.
the lorry that was supposed to carry our guzheng had a flat tyre.
we were all very worried , as by the time it was 1pm , the lorry was still
not there . and we could not leave for RP.
and we were set to perform at 2pm.
ya. 2pm.
we were all getting very anxious and worried as
if we were late , points would be deducted off .
so when the lorry came at arnd 1.15pm , we rushed to put our guzhengs in it
and ran to the bus.
all the while i prayed , hoping we would make it on time.
and daddy God answered my prayers by letting the bus driver drive very fast. :)
throughout the whole journey to RP. i was scared inside
and i was also worried that the morale of the members would be affected.
so , we decided to sing a song! haha
well the back row people at least.
which consisted of : Marina , Lien , Shannon , Ming Khim and Shannen.
we were singing our 2 syf song pieces over and over again
and sang soft when we were supposed to and loud .
even our teacher took a video of it.
we practically laughed our fears away.
by the time we reached there , people were starting to get nervous ,
and i really thanked the Lord for putting peace into my heart.
there was also good news when we reached.
Mr. Fun explained to the judges our situation ,
hopefully they won't pinalise marks as this situation was really unpredictable,
and they allowed us to be the 3rd to go instead of the 1st.
it was arnd 1.55pm when we reached.
and we rushed inside to get ready.
Thank you Lord for also giving me wisdom to talk
and comfort those that were feeling nervous .
when we went on stage,
i could practically hear my heart in my ears.
but when we started i relaxed and started playing with the feeling and emotions.
we played really really well.
and by well , i mean AWESOME. cos the speed and the way we played
it was just like how we played in in school . :)
we all felt really happy and good about our performance
and no matter the result , we know that we did our very best. :D
although , there is still that pinning hope for gold. haha.
results will be out tmr.
missed out 1 whole day of lessons today ,
going off soon to do my phys and chem hw.
hopefully i didn't miss out much.
God is just so wonderful and almighty isan't he?

today's guzheng practice was from what i can say ,
really productive. :)
our tempo improved a lot and so did our sound.
come one people! we can do it! :D.
our instructor says if we get GOLD she'll treat us
to mcdonalds and our senior says if we get GOLD with honours! :D ,
we'll get a treat from her too. :)
just remember people , when we're on stage , we have all the time in the world.
so , why rush? u want it to be over so fast meh? haha.
after guzheng went out for lunch at tampinese swimming complex 's
japanese restaurant also called " ri ben cun " pronounce it in chinese please. haha.
with Yong Soon , Jia Hao , Kimberly , Hazel , Yizhen and Jieyi :)
had an awesome time there. and the food was great too!
i mean , duh! haha the total bill was like $101.90 LOL. O.O
took pictures , but too lazy to plug my phone in and upload.
i shall just rip it off from yong soon's blog later .haha.
after eating , yong soon had to leave early cos he got treatment at 3.30pm
so Jia hao left too.
so me , yizhen , hazel , kimberly and jieyi decided to go to Tampinese 1 to walk arnd.
since i haven't been there yet.
super crowded and i probably won't go back anytime soon.
except maybe for some reasons , like the Disney shop!! <3
went into topshop for jieyi cos she wanted to show us
the shirt that she liked a lot. and i started to time her haha.
cos we were almost falling in love with all the stuff there as well. :P
yizhen got swept away by the crowd too. haha.
went into the disney store and we spent like 15 mins there? lol.
i basically went in and i went ballistic.
seeing sooo many things i want but controlling myself not to buy them.
kept thinking , wait till there is a sale.
They got natalie's birthday prezzie as well.
and i got my sis her be-lated birthday prezzie at the same time.
it was a luggage card with pooh and roo hugging and had her name on it. :)
me and yizhen made a deal to go back and get ours :D
arnd 2.45pm yizhen had to go so we all left.
i took mrt while the rest all took bus.
well , if only i can safely say that today was friday.
anyways i think if i continue blogging , i will somehow ruin the post.
by talking about mid-years and everything.
so i shall shut up. :X .

my head just can't see to absorb any more information.
i keep sitting there in lessons going "huh?"
or i'm trying to make myself concentrate really hard.
Phys test - words can't even describe how i feel and its not a good feeling.
and here i am questioning if the decision that i made to not transfer school
is a good thing or not.
there is just so much negativity around me for me to continue on
this long tedious journey/climb towards the big event - O lvls.
there's a chem common test tmr , and the topic tested is what
i don't understand at all.
Lord , please guide me and give me wisdom. Amen :)
and on thurs , phys test on chapter 2 , 3 nd 5.
and on thurs , its the number 16.

went for the NE validation exercise thingy today.
it went well. hopefully the school would get a good award.
Performance on friday , in front of the whole school.
than practice on Saturday from 8am-11.30am
i'll miss physics and e.geog!
sickening . i'll be missing phys again!
i can't bear to have a make-up lesson with her again.
OH JUST HELP ME.
its getting on my nerves , with the constant reminder of the
Mid-year exams that are coming up in 2 weeks.
i know. just kill me now.
and i haven't even got the time to do
my revision whatsoever.
i just spend my weekends rotting away at home
or relaxing or going out to relax.
getting a nice score for mid-years is becoming more
impossible now.
all the 3 science teachers have said that the papers would be
very difficult.
and if we fail , we have to drop.
and the worst part of all.
i want to drop phys so badly!
sometimes its okay , while sometimes it sucks like hell.
hello?! chem and bio is fine with me.
SYF on monday.

school is probably the part i hate the most.
the scholarship is also getting further and further away.
with the support of my friends i'll feel fine.

really don't know how they can all cope.
i just feel so stupid when i'm surrounded by my super smart classmates.

just came back from eating at the chinatown complex.
and am i glad that i went :)
it really opened my eyes a lot.
especially , when we passed by this shop house like building ,
and at the roof , it said "1910"
its amazing how that shophouse actually survived for so long.
and seeing so much culture and heritage at chinatown today really moved me :)
that overwhelming feeling is really , very hard to describe.
but am i glad that i went there today for dinner .

these are the highlights of April.
so many movies that i really wanna watch , especially since
i haven't watched a movie since last year december???
i really need some movie therapy to help
me relieve my stress. :/

the dreaded exam period is here again.. *sigh*
